Welcome to Learning Performance Analytics!

Performance Analytics is a convenient way to provide dynamic, real-time data visualizations
that provide value to stakeholders directly within the ServiceNow platform. Utilizing this
application to gain insight into your organization’s environment has many benefits.

One benefit is convenience, which comes in many forms when using Performance Analytics.
Since the reports themselves are accessible directly in ServiceNow, it is using native information which maintains data integrity by eliminating the possibility of the data being lost in translation from one platform to another. An additional benefit of Performance Analytics as a reporting tool is that it only requires the developer to work hard once. Meaning that after all initial configurations have been made, Performance Analytics handles the rest through automated data collection processes called jobs.

While Performance Analytics sounds like the perfect reporting tool, figuring out how to
effectively use it can be a daunting task as it is a bit complex with many layers to be configured. The purpose of this series is to provide an easily understandable guide to successfully using this application.
