Performance Analytics Training Series: Adding Jobs to Automated Indicators

Jobs are functionalities of automated indicators that serve an essential purpose: automatic, scheduled data collection. Jobs automate the data reporting process by collecting data on the indicator scores on a regular basis, allowing the developer to work hard once as mentioned in a previous topic.

There are two types of data collection jobs in performance analytics: daily and historical. Daily jobs collect data on the indicator daily. The daily collection helps keep the report current and relevant. Historical data collection jobs collect snapshots of existing score data from previous periods. This information is relevant for comparing scores over a period of time.
